It is the time of the year where all the Bahá'is in this world will begin their fast on the 2nd day of March until the 20th of March. It is the time to be practiced fasting as a means to discipline for the soul. Moreover, it is a time of spiritual preparation and regeneration for a new year's activities.

It is time to brush up my cooking skills since fasting month is the best opportunity for me to cook various types of food which will help to detach myself away from food or drinks during the fasting period between sunrise and sunset.

Once Upon a Year~

Each and every year there will be celebration of festivals or special events.Today is the day everyone! Today we will be celebrating the day of Ayyám-i-Há or Intercalary Days from 26th of February to 1st of March.

Ayyám-i-Há where the Bahá'ís celebrate the Festival of Ayyám-i-Há. Ayyám-i-Há means the "Days of Há" ("Há" is an Arabic letter). During the Festival of Ayyám-i-Há Bahá'ís are encouraged to celebrate God and his oneness by showing love, fellowship and unity.

Bahá'u'lláh said of Ayyám-i-Há: "It behoveth the people of Baha, throughout these days, to provide good cheer for themselves, their kindred and, beyond them, the poor and needy, and with joy and exultation to hail and glorify their Lord, to sing His praise and magnify His Name.

Happy Ayyám-i-Há to everyone. May these days bring us joy and laughter together to understand each other more better. Let's get started by giving hugs to friends when you see them ^^

Restless Moments

It's been two weeks I have been practicing dancing for the Pesta Chun which is another week to go. I have spent so much time in it until I totally worn out and I do not have the energy to continue to do other things, especially my assignments.

I have been sleeping most of the time due to exhaustion and lack of nutrition. Which cause my body to become weak and aching. I wish everything will be over soon, I could not take all these any more.

Right now I am super busy and tired but I still have pull myself up, even though there are nobody there to lift me up when I am down. It is all about survival in a tough world alone. I cannot depend on anybody because everybody focus on their task most of the time.

Life just carry on. Today is the election day for the representative of students in each faculty and college. Hope the votes will decide who is the best and most eligible candidate to carry out their commitments for the betterment of the university.

Do What Your Heart Tells

Many times in life, whether a thing is worth doing or not, really depends on how you look at it.
Take up all your courage and do something your heart tells you to do so that you may not regret not doing it later in your life.

This quotation really reflects on me how are the days which had passed. Some of them I regret of doing it, and some I really felt happy of what I am doing. It takes more than courage but also the true and sincere heart which lead me to move forward without being fear of the outcome. As long I know what is right which makes other people happy and not hurting others which is my main purpose in life.

Ugly Yet Beautiful

A nightingale is a bird which it does not have colourful feathers. Despite of it's appearance compared to other birds, it does not attract other people attention. Wait a minute, this bird can be small and dull in colour but it has this beautiful song which touches people's heart and soul by gaving everyone an impression of calmness in their mind and soul.

I quoted from the "Tablet of Ahmad" by Bahá’u’lláh

"He is the King, the All-Knowing, the Wise! Lo, the nightingale of Paradise singeth upon the twigs of the tree of Eternity, with holy and sweet melodies, proclaiming to the sincere ones the glad tidings of the nearness of God, calling the believers in the Divine Unity to the court of the Presence of the Generous One, informing the severed ones of the message which hath been revealed by God, the King, the Glorious, the Peerless, guiding the lovers to the seat of sanctity and to this resplendent beauty."

This is only a short poem on the nightingale. I will try to polish it become a better poem. Hope you enjoy. ^^

Every year there is a new year which means every year will celebrate a birthday to every person in this world.
It is a memorable moment I had because I have wonderful and good friends around me. There are blessed people who were brought to this world for me to share my happiness to them.
I do not know who I will be if without them around me.
I received 3 slices of cake and a 1/2 KG cake from my friends and course mates.

Yesterday morning I thought I was going to the campus in UPSI, Tanjung Malim to attend a photo session for the Chinese Society.

It was fun getting to know some new friends even though I had been in Tanjung Malim for 1 and a half years still there are many people i had not met but that is fate.

After the group photos, I did not expect I had to find sponsorship after the event. Moreover, I did not equipped myself with my stuffs. :( What to do, still have to carry on to look for sponsors. :)

It took like a whole day looking for sponsors, especially looking for Chinese citizens to support because this even is mainly is for CNY. From my experience during my tour, many Chinese are not so friendly, but there are some are willing to give which makes us happy :) Thanks to my working partnor, Sharon, which helps me a lot because she can explain the details which I am not good at it. Go girl ^^

After coming back to the college, my partner and I still continue look for sponsors around the Taman Bahtera. We got many sponsors than we had expected. The best part is during the night time, we went to a mamak shop and asked whether their boss is around so one of the workers make a phone call to his boss so we take the call and he said he will come the following next day. After ended the call, we went to another shop to asked for sponsor. Once we got the sponsor from the owner, then we went back to the mamak stall to had our supper. Unexpectedly, we met the boss and then we explained to him again and he accepted. Ok, we have done so much so we had our supper at the mamak. When it is time to pay up, the casher said we do not have to pay for the food we had order. We all were stunned 0_0 We never expected that was coming and we feel uneasy for their treatment towards us. I wouldn't dare to say happy but was grateful that they can do such nice things for us. Hope your shop will flourish in the near future.

Delightful Deepavali

First and foremost, I want to wish Happy Deepavali to all my indian friends and other friends. I am back to do some blogging. Recently there is nothing special going on here in Tanjung Malim. I will update this blog because I need to make myself active anyway and anyhow.

Today I just feel lazy to do anything except playing DotA (Defence of The Anceints). I like to play with my coursemate only the real fun give me the adrenaline to get rid of the pressure about the examation. Yeah, just to pass my time because I am too lazy to study for my examination especially SLA (Second Language Acquisition).

Today, I cook spaghetti which is my second attempt because it is time to skill up my cooking style. Muahaha..I went to Grand Union which is one of the simplest supermarket in Tanjung Malim, at least I can get the ingredients for making my spagetti. I bought Chifferi Rigati, and Prego Pasta Sauce. I had to borrow my coursemate's rice cooker to boil the spaghetti and the pasta sauce. Actually, I should get more ingredients to add flavour to my spagetti but I forgot to buy while I'm doing some shopping XD.

So I had to borrow Alif's salt and osyter sauce to enhance the taste of the sauce. It took me to cook about half and hour to finish the cooking..phew..

Now I know how hard it is to cook, and patients is all I need to get perfection of my cooking. Finally, it turn out to be a bit salty but it is still delicious even lack of ingredients. Next time it will be a better than this. Bon Appétit! Wait for next blog update :) Anyone can cook! (Quoted from the movie Ratatouille)

Embracing Imperfection

When I was a little girl, my mom liked to make breakfast food for dinner every now and then. And I remember one night in particular when she had made breakfast after a long, hard day at work. On that evening so long ago, my mom placed a plate of eggs, sausage, and extremely burned toast in front of my dad. I remember waiting to see if anyone noticed! Yet all my dad did was reach for his toast, smile at my mom, and ask me how my day was at school. I don't remember what I told him that night, but I do remember watching him smear butter and jelly on that toast and eat every bite! When I got up from the table that evening, I remember hearing my mom apologize to my dad for burning the toast. And I'll never forget what he said. 'Baby, I love burned toast.'

Later that night, I went to kiss Daddy good night, and I asked him if he really liked his toast burned. He wrapped me in his arms and said, 'Debbie, your Momma put in a hard day at work today and she's real tired. And besides-a little burnt toast never hurt anyone! You know, life is full of imperfect things...and imperfect people. I'm not the best housekeeper or cook.'

What I've learned over the years is that learning to accept each other's faults - and choosing to celebrate each other's differences - is the one of the most important keys to creating a healthy, growing, and lasting relationship. Burnt toast should never be a deal breaker. We could extend this to any relationship in fact - as understanding is the base of any relationship, be it a husband-wife or parent-child or friendship!!"

Don't put the key to your happiness in someone else's pocket - but into your own.

The moral of the story is:

People will always forget what you do, and they will always forget what you say, but they will never, ever forget the way you make them feel

Time comes and goes?

Hello everyone :)

I'm back after a long trip from another 'dimension' because it was a tough time from time to time in doing assignments and also daily activities which is unavoidable. I will share stories or articles or anything which is interesting to read.

It does not mean that I am not sharing about my experience in my life but I eventually will take some time to put up some experience when there is a free time :)

Here I would like to share some interesting facts on how to get a life partner...

A relationship coach lays out his 5 golden rules for evaluating the prospects of long-term success. When it comes to making the decision about choosing a life partner, no one wants to make a mistake. Yet, with a divorce rate of close to 50 percent, it appears that many are making serious mistakes in their approach to finding Mr./Ms. Right! If you ask most couples who are engaged why they're getting married, they'll say: "We're in love." I believe this is the #1 mistake people make when they date. Choosing a life partner should never be based on love (alone). Though this may sound not politically correct, there's a profound truth here. Love (alone) is not the basis for getting married. Rather, love is the result of a good marriage. When the other ingredients are right, then the love will come. Let me say it again: You can't build a lifetime relationship on love alone. You need a lot more. Here are five questions you must ask yourself if you're serious about finding and keeping a life partner.

QUESTION #1:
Do we share a common life purpose?
Why is this so important?
Let me put it this way: If you're married for 20 or 30 years, that's a long time to live with someone.What do you plan to do with each other all that time? Travel, eat and jog together? You need to share something deeper and more meaningful. You need a common life purpose. Two things can happen in a marriage. QUESTION #2:
Do I feel safe expressing my feelings and thoughts with this person ? This question goes to the core of the quality of your relationship. Feeling safe means you can communicate openly with this person.The basis of having good communication is trust - i.e. trust that I won't get "punished" or hurt for expressing my honest thoughts and feelings. A colleague of mine defines an abusive person as someone with whom you feel afraid to express your thoughts and feelings. Be honest with yourself on this one. Make sure you feel emotionally safe with the person you plan to marry.

QUESTION #3:
Is he/she a mensch?
A mensch is someone who is a refined and sensitive person. How can you test? Here are some suggestions:
Do they work on personal growth on a regular basis?

Are they serious about improving themselves?
A teacher of mine defines a good person as "someone who is always striving to be good and do the right thing." So ask about your significant other: What do they do with their time? Is this person materialistic?
Usually a materialistic person is not someone whose top priority is character refinement. There are essentially two types of people in the world:
People who are dedicated to personal growth and people who are dedicated to seeking comfort. Someone whose goal in life is to be comfortable will put personal comfort ahead of doing the right thing. You need to know that before walking down the aisle.

QUESTION #4:
How does he/she treat other people? The one most important thing that makes any relationship work is the ability to give. By
giving, we mean the ability to give another person pleasure.
Ask: Is this someone who enjoys giving pleasure to others or are they wrapped up in themselves and self-absorbed? To measure this, think about the following:
1) How do they treat people whom they do not have to be nice to, such as a waiters, bus boy, taxi driver,etc.?
2) How do they treat parents and siblings?
3) Do they have gratitude and appreciation?
4) Do they show respect?
If they don't have gratitude for the people who have given them everything, you cannot expect that they'll have gratitude for you --who can't do nearly as much for them! Do they gossip and speak badly about others?
Someone who gossips cannot be someone who loves others. You can be sure that someone who treats others poorly, will eventually treat you poorly as well.

QUESTION #5:
Is there anything I'm hoping to change about this person after we're married? Too many people make the mistake of marrying someone with the intention of trying to "improve" them after they're married. As a colleague of mine puts it, "You can probably expect someone to change after marriage ... for the worse!"
If you cannot fully accept this person the way they are now, then you are not ready to marry them.

In conclusion, dating doesn't have to be difficult and treacherous. The key is to try leading a little more with your head and less with your heart. It pays to be as objective as possible when you are dating, to be sure to ask questions that will help you get to the key issues. Falling in love is a great feeling, but when you wake up with a ring on your finger, you don't want to find yourself in trouble because you didn't do your homework.

Love Birds on the Loose!

Meheron weds Lorah...ah, what a lovely couples.

It was held in Dewan Seri Endon, Yayasan Budi Penyayang Malaysia.

The decoration is simple and sweet. However, overall it looks very grand wedding ceremony :)

So I would like to share is...a Baha'i Wedding.

It all began with some prayers, then wait for the bride and bridegroom to arrive.

Once the bride and bridegroom seated, then some more prayers are chanted.

Next will be the taking of marriage oath, Mr Papunaidu who solemnize the wedding and the couple recites the following verse: "We will all, Verily, abide by the will of God".

After that, the signing of marriage certificate take place, and two witnesses for both bride and bridegroom.

Followed by word of appreciation from the bride and bridegroom.

Once it is done, the bride and bridegroom have to exchange of rings.

Finally, cutting the cake and dinner is serve ;)

What a happy ending for these two couples. Hmmm..how about my turn?? When will it be?? wakaka

Finally, it is the end of my second semester in IPGM KSAH

Life can never be the same when I am in UPSI

But still has to go on and on..by the way look at the bright side, you won't lose anything is experience new environment

I just have to get the hang of it since life is adventurous around me ;)

I am happy to meet new faces everywhere even we might not know each other but still we can get along just fine...haha..

Now my one month holiday is going to be a busy time for me

First to spend time with my buddies since they are back from their semester breaks from universities

Secondly is to attend my ISGP (Institute for Studies in Global Prosperity) for 10 days

Thirdly I will be learning to drive car around my house area to get a hang of the steering..hehe

Well I'm gonna miss my 'sons' and 'daughters' for two years.

I wish them all the best and take good care.(don't be naughty ya ;) haha)

I am going to miss Sa Sa for quite some time. No matter what I will still remember you always.

I will try to keep my blog as active as possible

A T-cher Day

It is a special day for all teachers, not just in schools but also teacher training institutes.

This very day is the time for the students to thank the teachers for all their hardships in school

During my time in school, the students cook and prepare lots of activities - indoor and outdoor games - for the whole school.

Right now in college, things are quite different but there will talks and feasts. The following day will have a Telematch which is only for students who send in their names to participate the games.

I feel this is the time we can get together with the lecturers one last time :)

Those students and friends who still remembers their beloved teachers, please cherish and be grateful for their sufferings throughout their teaching career.

Here is a poem for all teachers:

Seeds were sowed over the earth;

The seeds drank cool water under the earth.

Day by day the seeds break free from the shells that protected them;

Now the stems continuously grew under all the nurture and care.

It Ain't My Day

Yesterday I got a Mother's Day present from a bird..yeah
Which is bird poop...lol..I did not expect it when I was reading in Balai Ilmu...haha

In the morning, the seniors Cohort 2 asked me to help them to control the lighting during their Storytelling Concert.
Yesterday they wanted to have a full rehearsal, so I will go and observe how their performance is
However, last night there is something happen so it was postponed to today morning 11am.

During the afternoon, the college is having an outdoor activity involve all the trainees
The aerobics was not interesting especially the guys were standing and joking around
The guys will be playing football and the girls will be playing futsal.
Well there nothing special and they said had to stay back because of taking attendance but many did not turn up, so what's the point...haiz

MaMa I Love You!!

I'm back!!

Finally I am back! It is good to be back isn't it?

Today is my final day of all my exams (phew), which is English Grammar I.

It is quite easy though, but I think I did make some mistakes during the exam.

Well I did my best and all I can do is pray hard so that I can achieve the highest mark.

After the exam is......FUN!! Muhahahaaaa....

Still not sure what to do next..hmmm...(blank)

During the afternoon I went out with Melissa to relax and enjoy ourselves..

Guess what...we also do not know what to do after having our lunch...haha

We just went to have fun in the arcade centre to play and play and play...

I enjoy playing shooting game but too bad someone occupied it...it is Ninja Assult

It is way too cool...

Dinner at Master Choo, I do not know what to eat...hahaha...chose the tomyam noodles but the taste does not suit me.

Once I reach home I realised my external hardisc have a problem which is cannot detect..it is either the cable or the casing...hmmm..

So my dad and I went to Central Square and went to the computer shops and enquire what was the problem, well the answer is changed a new casing.

WHAT!! I did not expect that to happen so quickly, what to do..what done is done..

I hope there is nothing happen to my external hardisc...(praying very hard)

Whole Day Trip

Recently I went to Lembah Bujang with four crazy friends..haha..at first my friend Weay Ken or Miaw Miaw(his nickname) plan to go to Semeling to eat Mee Sua. Too bad I have fogotten what was the name of the food.hehe

So in stead we went to Lembah Bujang Museum. As you can see that this museum is located in the rural area. I think it took 45 minutes to reach there, because my friend went to pick up other friends as well. We almost got lost but luckily my friend Ah Ken able to track back how to go to the museum.

At the museum we did lots of crazy stuff especially snapping photos..haha..well we actually we got nothing to do so we travel at least get rid of our boredom. After the museum, we went to Tupah. A waterfall located there, at first we thought there is a big waterfall. However, there is only small ones.

Only me and my friend Dino(Chin Yit) went down to touch the water. Burr..it is cold but nice. If I have known I would bring extra clothes so I can play inside the water. I miss the old days going to water fall and play and catch fish too. Ah...those were the memories during my childhood.

After that we change plan and go to Sunway Carnival to watch movie. Before watching the movie we went to 600cc and eat. Well I eat something about beef noodles. Too bad there is not much movie showing, and I had no choice but to watch horror movie called "Quarantine" Man...this movie was terrible, it really gave me the creeps. I did not like watching horror movie, I really had phobia towards horror movies. After the movie then we went to play some arcade games to relax. We like to play first person shooting games.

At night we went to celebrate birthday for two of our old classmates in Old Town Kopitiam. Sing Nee and Ling Hui. Well I did not talk to them much because did not keep in touch quite some time so did not know what to say. Anyway we celebrate until 11pm plus. It is a long day and very tiring. Now I can sleep in my soft bed and sleep soundlessly..zzzzZZZZZ

A Bad Dream

Last night I dream my institute has a performance which is Talent Night. When other participants were all line up to perform on stage and I was the last one to perform. My performance are two which is some magic show(I guess) and a singing performance.

Later I remembered that I forgot the lyric of the song(I did not know what song I'm going to sing) so I asked permission to let me went back to my hostel to get my lyric. I was blur at that time, I went to the toilet to open by using my key(haha..It was the weirdest part of my dream) then I went to my room. I tried to open with my key but the door would not open, at first I thought my key was damage that is why I could not open but it is not.

Then I tried to climb from the back of my room in the hostel because one of the window was not close. When I reached to the room I saw someone was inside. Then I know this is a thief as he is trying to find something in the room, so I quickly take out my mobile phone and switch it to video mode. I went in the room and take video of that guy.

However, that person did not know I was there and just busy with himself. Once he found the thing(which I did not know what he took), he quickly get out of the room(still he did not notice me) and went down on a rope. I took every part of his movement but I cannot get his face. Later he came back to the rope and run away. I think this time he saw me because I was still videoing on the rope. So that time he was gone.

After everything was over, I came across some place and I saw the same person wearing the same shirt with the guy who break into my room but that guy was a girl.(weird isn't it) I had notice the girl was following a family back in a car, so I quickly went to the car before it moved. I saw a man I think it was the father, so I said "Sir, I think your daughter was in big trouble and something serious." Then the man looked at her daughter and I showed him the video that I took......

Well that was it because later that I woke up, but what was the conclusion? Can you think of it?

What about IPSAH??

It's been two years I have been studying in IPSAH which is Institute Perguruan Sultan Abdul Halim, to tell the truth ever since I have step foot in Sungai Petani (SP) I do not know this place ever exist. I get to know the place when I went for my second interview on my second choice which is B. Ed TESL.

I do not expect that I will start my course in IPSAH. I did expect that I would get some other places nearby my hometown but it seems I cannot run away from SP. Talk about IPSAH is kind of small institute compare to other states. Some say it is small and boring place to study in, but I felt it is way much better. I receive some feedbacks from my friends in other institutes. They did mention their classes were about 15 minutes walking distance from their campus. So do not complain so much if the place is small.

Recently IPSAH undergoes some maintenance or upgrading the surroundings, at least it has some changes. This is a good sign because students who were sent to IPSAH will get their first impression on the institute. They would feel comfortable with the atmosphere and also make them feel happy here. Overall IPSAH is a great place to train trainee teachers to lead the next generation to a better lifestyle.
